Puting your website url in each blog post

Ok so I understand your suppose to put your keyword anchor text in your blog post but I also hear your suppose to put your url hyerlinked in the blog post. So suppose to do both? Is this true? How does this help you? thank you

i make a anchor text keyword on the blog meant for another site

i then put the url of the actual blog and hyerlink it.

My quesiton is do i need to hyperlink and type the blog url for each blog post. I see some people doing that. How does this help?
