Some friends of mine produced a low budget independent film. They have the trailer up on YouTube but haven't gotten a lot of hits to it. It's been up for over a year now. They'd like to grease the wheels a bit, start getting some hits on it, get it to the front page (if possible) where real users will see it and then hopefully that will start pushing traffic to their website where they're selling DVDs of the film.

Does anyone offer YouTube hits as a service? About how much will it cost to get something like this going? And is there an actual chance that it could go viral and produce real hits where the users will actually buy the DVD?

What's the going rate for something like this?

Any thoughts or ideas from any YouTube experts is greatly appreciated.

Feel free to send me a PM if you'd rather discuss it privately.
