Push notification Jacker? Is this possible or jail time?

I was wondering is it possible to set up automatic push notification subscriptions but hide the actual button so that when a visitor lands on your site they automatically subscribe to your site? It would act kinda like a facebook like jacker but for push notifications instead.

They would have the ability to unsubscribe after the first notification is sent.

Is something like this illegal?
