Which of them do you think is best for advertising a blog ...mine personally will be push ads(targeted) & ppc (pay for unique clicks only)

I believe is all depend on what the blog has and offering to the user. I may suggest you to test it for not longer than a week see the potential.
I started to use Adsense on one of my blog - this was not that helpful

If you are willing to monetize your traffic, the popunder ads networks may be a solution. You may try PopCash or a combination between more networks, but make sure the ones you choose have a frequency cap of 1/24 IP/hours, in order to avoid being too 'aggressive' with your visitors.
