Hey! didnt really optimize my theme. just chose a lightweight, authoritative theme that i liked. Sorry, not willing to give you links or share my theme lol. You can use the SEO audit tool in chrome developer tools to loosely gauge the SEO score of the demo theme. I optimize caching layers, use cdn, compress images, etc. pingdom performance is really good, same with GTmetrix report. just keep working on it and you'll see really good scores. And what is your pingdom performence?

DO was awesome while i used them. i had to learn how to set up a server properly and lock it down. if you dont know what you're doing, you will end up shooting yourself in the foot. I was using runcloud and then modified the server to lock it down further. it was pretty fast. i did learn, however, that i would rather pay someone to be on the hook for backups, high server loads, etc. So i have switched to managed hosting. something like WPengine.
Yo - it took about like 3 or 4 months id say before i started getting consistent sales. If you're just starting out just try to write 500 words every SINGLE day. no excuses just grind.
Yup - agreed, i just worried about server maintenance, backups, server updates, etc. ive now switched over to manage hosting
