Have you ever built a blog about a certain niche WITHOUT building any backlinks using an AUTOMATED tool and WITHOUT paying for link while being able to rank it in page 1?

The only tasks you have done to it should be:

1. ON-PAGE SEO
2. Submit bookmarks (manually, high quality SB for your posts)
3. Guess blogging (optional)
4. Press release (optional)
5. Article directories (manually, Ezine/GoArticles)
6. Posting links in Social Networking sites

Any of you guys pulled this off before?

If you want to build a site the WH way, then it's not you who backlinks, the users are the ones. In other words, you need linkbait content.

I have several sites about cookies which offer value to the user (recipes, FAQ's etc) and they are getting shared/pinterested and backlinked almost every day from random users. That's the whole point in the WH game.


How to start?

Well, you said it;
- bookmarking
- article directories
- social sites

The site has to be optimized real good in order to catch all that link juice, but in the end you get a stable flow of visitors.

In my opinion it costs to much time, so if you are starting a project which includes WH sites then don't expect that they will rank properly in less then three months.

Badges are great ways for white hat seo's to earn links. Badges tent to appear on the homepage or sidebar.

Copyscape has a "protected by copyscape" badge
paypal badge
ssl certificate badge
and loads more

also sites like phpld force the users to have a footer link unless they pay more money to get it removed.

Web designers have "designed by company name" in the footer

All depends on what kind of site you have.

Although the keywords generally aren't that competitive I recently did get a highly sought after keyword to #8.

The time it takes depends on the sites existing strength and your on page work.
Low competition keywords generally take around 1 - 2 months however I always cluster them so I'm not going for 1 hit wonders.

Also there is some minor link building going on which depends on niche but I will generally do; local directory submissions (brand) and guest blog posts.

- yes, it is, it targets certain types of cookies

3. How much effort did you spend in building the site (hours per week or hours per day)?
- It was assigned to my VA's, so i don't have a proper number.

But the best thing which you can do is:

- buy facebook shares/Twitter tweets
- buy social bookmarking packages
- buy article directorie blasts

I always do my linkbuilding manually, so, yea I've done of the tasks you've listed so far.

Any WH website started with buying links in the beginning. You will be forced to buy links to get your website out there to the crowd let it be press releases, social bookmarks etc....

I even know few big authority websites who still have networks of satellite sites linking to them till today.
