Purched new active website and having scripting/backlink issues...

Hi. New here and need help. I own a film site and have recently purchased a second and known site. This new site has viral script embedded on our facebook page and I dont understand scripting or how to build backlinks. I want to merge my two sites to help with building backlinks to my main site or tweak the script. I hope that makes sense. I am a pedestrian HTML guy and having a hard time. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
