Which categories of auctions on GoDaddy are safe to purchase from if you want an uninterrupted whois history?

Are there any other sites I should look at too?

I'm guessing their expired domain auctions will reset the whois date.

i guess just look for domains with private registration or you can work it out with the seller before, yes I know that you said expired domains but cheap existing domains could be just as good.

I'm wondering which auctions on GoDaddy are eligible for preserving domain whois. If the whois lookup doesn't say expired, is that sufficient?

if you just mean the registration date yes if it has not expired and it will not change once you purchase it.contact details do not keep unless it's private registration as far as I know. you could probably change them back without the anyone knowing and have another email, but this would be a stupid idea

1) they add a common footprint to the domains you're using to create a pbn. if all of your PBN domains have a whois registration date within a few months, that's a red flag
2) studies have shown that domains without a whois lapse have higher success rates

i'm not really looking to debate the merits of whether or not it matters. i see that you sell domains that are all expired/re-registered so i understand you probably have a different point-of-view.

whether or not i'm wrong in looking for this, i'm still wondering how to ensure the domains i purchase through auction will have an uninterrupted whois history.
