Purchasing a Used Domain Name from Godaddy Auctions

Hi,

I wanted to know if you purchase a used domain name with a PR, from Godaddy auctions does the domain name lose it's PR once you buy it? If i was to buy it i would change the content hosted on it so i wanted to know weather this would affect the PR rating and what techniques can i use to salvage the PR score that it has when i buy it?
