Purchased VPS Server for SEO tools, whats next?

Hi Guys,

I have purchased VPS, but is there any pre-requisites I have to follow?

for example to avoid using my resources by other shared hosters? or any alerting system for server down so that i get an alert on my mobile?

How about downloading your gmail mobile application or other email apps to check your email if they sent you a notice that your VPS is down..

Thank you "AquaticGamer" Email notification as well fine, but how to configure on server?

BTW.. I forgot to mention... its a windows server

I don't think they will shut down your system or your system will shut down on it's own unless it's taken down. If your server is taken down your service provider will definitely contact you. It's a VPS for a reason so it wouldn't just turn off since it's meant to be turned on 24 hours a day..
