Some of you may remember I've been debating whether I should get a Macbook or not.

Well, here I am a couple weeks later with a brand new MacBook Pro. Went to BestBuy after work and got one today. Couldn't be happier! I really feel like I deserve one for work + now I can finally go to Starbucks and just chill there.

When life give you lemons, you turn them into apples.

Thanks for everyone's feedback on the other thread. It really moved me to treat myself with something nice for once. Just wanted to share with the community.

Congratz mate. Is it the new 2018 and how much was it and config?

Post some pictures mate.

I will buy one for myself soon. :)

No modern machine lasts for a lifetime. And certainly not Apple products.
I'm sure mine would last for another 5 years, it would definitely need a battery replacement, and it will continue to work until macos support ends for it which I expect to be around 10 more years. Thats what I meant by lifetime.

Last time I checked Snow Leopard is still being supported and Mojave supports devices starting from Mid 2012. Do the math.

After checking your thread, I was checking out some laptops and here you are http://prntscr.com/m0wkqb with the best deal. It's in Indian rupee and says I will save 0.014$ if I buy it. I am feeling rich.

Ewww. Apple. Barf.

But to each his own I guess. Congrats?

Apple (bought at BestBuy) & Starbucks. Peak consumerism. :D You could only be more stereotypical, if you'd have an IT job at a startup in Silicon Valley. :p

I don't know what the guy is even thinking in the corner with a non-Apple product lol

Nothing is wrong with Apple though apart from their pricing. If people would only make rational decisions, they would be a lot smaller company selling their products to graphic designers, video editors and alike. Fortunately for them humans are emotional creatures.

Very true my man, I am just one of the "not woke" crowd. But on the serious note, I am sure it's a worthy purchase.
