you need to get downloads and reviews. people pay a fortune for these in large enough numbers to get into the top 10. you can start with all your friends and family to download and review it. pay micro workers a small fee to download and review it etc etc. plus any other ways you can think of.

You can also offer bloggers to review your app and publish review on their blogs.

Buy mobile traffic, optimize campaigns and traffic sources and rank. This would be very lucrative if you have a high retention rate of users and only a few uninstalls. You can monetize your users easily and the initial money spent on traffic will have insane ROI plus once in top 100 apps in your category you will get free installs. It all depends on your app.

you need to buy downloads. Cheapest incentive :
    Tapjoy.com

    non incentive :
    Getjar
    appbrain
For ratings and reviews - you need those but be very careful where you buy from

    good luck with your app

You must try to increase install just go with facebook marketing.. You can grab easy install at cheap price but make sure you create attractive ads. And you also buy ratings from web... For example buy app reviews and there are many other website available

You might also consider buying some shoutouts from instagram. Look for some larger accounts in your niche.

Great advices , thank you all
what should i do first ? buy facebook installs or app installs or reviews ? cause i think that buying from people may damage my app as they might be fake and will probably uninstall it very quickly ? thank you again

when ever you buy or exchange reviews with other developers (look for Facebook app review exchange groups - it´s for free $), you have to ask for a list of things to obey.
    speaking of iTunes App Store:
    1. download with an actual iDevice NOT with PC/MAC
    2. open app for about 3 minutes, like really checking it out
    3. rate/review the app from that iDevice
    4. keep the app for about 3-4 days on that iDevice

    than your safe and sound

so get good reviews, that help you rank better.

also make people, you know and have an account on that store, mark the good reviews "as helpful" - so they are nailed to the to of that list! ;-)

Great suggestion , by the way , how can i know if the other dude download it throw device ? and how can i know if he left it for 3-4 days ?
by the way , is it worth the time trying to share it throw twitter and facebook groups ? (i think that facebook groups will be full with app dev like me trying to sell their apps)

Hm, you never know 100%, because at least this is the internet! ;-)
But it is common sense, that you exchange screenshots of the reviews, because it takes 1 day for the reviews to show up in the store - as proof so to say.
speaking of iOS: you can only review what you downloaded! so that´s good proof.
I´m brand new to this, just like you and do not know much about twitter or Facebook yet.
I tried to start advertising with Facebook, but I fail at getting the right audience. so notch traffic/click/downloads from there.

do you do better, or find something working good for you, yet?

I start with 150$ as a test, to see how it´s working. I focused ads at USA & UK.
atm I´m at 3.3k impressions, that costed me 10$... it´s because I set up my own click rate like 0.25$.
Facebook suggested much higher and for an app install clicks like 3.50$ - crazy! for an app that generate $ only by ads....

so I´m just paying for clicks atm... that my be the fault!?

Is here someone willing to share some, successful fb app ad strategies. how to setup a good campaign?
    would be appreciated.

so angela what are you planning right now with your app? Facebook ads? buy reviews?...

i'm thinking of facebook ads first , it is not logic to get reviews & rats if you don't have download ... so by the seo logic , google may punish me ...
i'm considering of like 100$ investissement in facebook ads ... but your comment scared me lol , how much approximate download did you get for your campaign ? i just need that little boost to get my aso working

ok just wanted to give you little heads up about my Facebook campaign. NOT impressive at all! might be, I do something wrong?!
    my stats so far: reached 15K people - 180 clicks - 30$ budget spend - max CPC 0.30 - ave CPC 0.16 = 0 installs!
my audience might be too big!? 60000000 13-35, >iOS 6
But I don´t know if FB track the click thru installs, when you do not implement there code in your app!?

I will see later today if downloads where affected at all...

so any advice from some Facebook ad captain guru, would be highly appreciated! right angela? ;-)

per click, because FB suggested 3,30$ pay per download. you can lower that, but I offer a FREE game, so that concept does´t make sense to me in my case!
