Any of you guy's have a PTC site up and running? I'm curious as to wither they are worth the effort involved. A few years back when they were fairly new I can see the value, but today?

Discuss...

99% of ptc sites are scam. Only 1% honest ptc sites still running, but i am not sure how long they go.

Why ptc turn scam? Because, it is very hard to maintain ptc website, especially when paying. You need to have huge budget to maintain website. Getting a script and design is not enough.

Lot of things involved in a ptc site. Like, you must need a plan while offering referral plans. If anything of them fails, your site goes completely wrong.

So if you are looking to start some ptc site just for flipping, forget them. I dont see much buyers interest on them.
 
I have a ptc site thats been running over 1 year.
I have lots of experience in ptc sites, and they are not worth your time.
Their are ptc sites popping up everyday and like it was said above 99% of them go scam, about 1% of ptc owners are actually serious, so ptc sites have gotten a bad rep over the years. Anyone can literally create a ptc site with a budget of less than $25, and thats what most ptc clickers do when they think they can run a ptc site. If you plan to be succesfull opening a ptc site you must be seriously committed, you also must have a custom script and make yourself stand out from the rest of these crappy ptc sites popping up everyday by people who know nothing about running a business.

If you look at all the successful ptc websites online, you will notice they all have custom scripts, neobux, buxp, clixsense....

I consider running a PTC site a last resort. I ran a few back in the day (actually built the 3rd PTC site in existence after discovering adBux and deciding to hop on board the money train).
You will inevitably end up with more debt owed to your clickers than income from premium memberships and ref sales. Most everyone that signs up to your site is going to be referred by someone else, meaning you won't be able to sell them in a referral package. You could create a bots system, but people will catch on to that real quick and call you a scammer, whether the bots make them money or not.
So depending on how well you run it, after a couple months or a couple years you'll be forced to do one of two things: 1) Sell the site to some poor sap, 2) Shut it down and be known as a scammer.

My recommendation to you:
Dont bother.
Furthermore, don't buy an already up-and-running PTC site unless you want to get stuck with all their debt, because if someone is selling a PTC, they are trying to get the hell out of dodge.
 
You're going to find that the majority of these sites will never ever pay you for clicking on these links and looking at advertisement or websites.


This was something I'd tried about seven years ago, and out of the 15 sites I worked with not one of them paid me one penny for the advertisements I clicked on.
 
I tried PTC websites 4 years ago. I made 250 USD on Bux.to that they've never paid me. I guess they're all scam or at least they only pay premium users. Anyways, I don't want to take the risk, I'm tired. I would not invest my time anymore in that kind of sites...
 
I did that once. The site went flop lol. But that was about 3 years ago. I had no advertisers.
 
I think PTC Sites can still make good money. I mean there's quite a few ways to monetize. You can gather there emails sell it, or simply use it for yourself. Promote CPA offers, and other affiliate products. The only real problem is the audience. Considering must people that join PTC Websites are from 3rd world countries, and are poor its not easy.

So the only way i think a PTC Site can be successful is to
1. Market It well, and get members from USA\UK\Canada\etc
2.Have a unique script, and add some different twists to your website.
 
One of the things I've wanted to do for such a long time is start a PTC site. They are so profitable if done right.

Hi there. I've recently seen this post about the PTC website. I want to run a PTC website and of course i'm trying to be on the serious admin guy part. If you have any tips on how to start, i mean i have clues but not sure how much money needs to be invested. I know i have to sustain at start with some of my own cash and put my own adverts, but that means some serious expenses. Then i've seen that everybody is saying that i need to advertise on other ptc websites but that means more expenses and a lot more members that will need advertising. My question is also...how am i gonna bring advertisers in, as today a lot of them are very sceptical about PTC. I'm really trying to make a great PTC website with a custom script, with my own rules. What dou you say? What's your PTC website that you wanna sell? Thanx
 
If you really want to start a PTC site, build your own script and give it its own unique look and features.
Then advertise it on other PTC sites. Cheap, effective.
This is what I did back in the day and the site had over 1k members in a matter of days.
Next you need to keep up with the PTC watching forums out there (you can google PTC forums), and make sure there is good buzz about your site. Always pay your members as quickly as possible. Many of them will be posting proof of your payment on these forums. You can also make your own forum for the site, however people aren't going to trust that as easily.

The thing you have to watch out for is a lot of people from China create hundreds of fake referrals and can take you for a lot of money if you're not careful!

One last tip: Don't use Paypal!
Unless you want your account frozen and all your money tied up for 6 months while they "investigate".
 
Along a similar line a few years back I started an incentive site with users completing offers thus collecting points, in return for premium upload / download accounts. Whilst I had plenty of incentive offers the sheer hassle of manually adding each offer and validating, at the time, made the opportunity / business time consuming and un-profitable.
Assuming a scraper could be used to log in to advertiser accounts (for either PTC or incentive) adverts could easily and constantly be updated (creating a turn key website) with payments automatically being updated. Thus traffic = users (that remain interested) = a continuous income as long as they click.
The site mentioned required users to purchase an account / payout based on the offers, I assume with PTC a once a month payment through Paypal Bulk would allow you to transfer easily enough.

No.... don't run a PTC, but run away from it!!!!!..
There is no PTC site in the world that gives long term profits to the premium members, and forget about free members.
Pople are saying "there is 1% of PTC sites that are legit" FALSE!
If they are referring to neobux..which im 100% sure they are. That site is the biggest PTC site in the world and they use a very nasty tactic, which is BOTS, bots and bots.
So the only way to get money if you want to be a PTC admin is through bots (bots acting like people clicking) and lies. That's unethical and wrong I don't recommend it!
Forget about PTC right now!
 
Hello, Nookie monster! For me this sites are waste of time. I worked a month on neobux and I wasnt satisfied with the amount of my earnings so I gave up in this sort of earning. The bigger problem for me is that there are a lot of this PTC sites that are scaming a lot of people. The owners of that kind of sites earn a lot of money and they dont pay the workers. There are of course some good sites like Neobux or Clixsense but this kind of sites are in minority in the bigger pool of scamers. At the moment I am working on Microworkers and I have to say that I m satisfied so far. Good luck everyone in your internet earning.
 
This is a very unstable niche if you'd like to call it that way. As others have said, PTC have earned a pretty bad reputation over the years, making it much more dificult nowadays to start a new PTC website in which people can trust and provide you a decent income.
 
Still PTC field is rocking with RR program, which is pay more than 40% profit for your investment in months.
