Go with youtube there are many nice and well explained tutorials... If you've got some cash then go with lynda, udemy... I personally started with lynda tutorials...

When I started out I learned from YouTube video's, tutorials online and trial and error. There are many video's and tutorials out there.

There are many websites out there with information, images and even tutorials or failing that you could take a look on YouTube for tutorial video's to help you work with Photoshop.

I second watching videos on youtube. I recently wanted to learn illustrator and after watching youtube videos to learn the basics I moved onto the more advanced videos. I've used photoshop for the last 10 years but got tired of pixelated logo's so that was my reason for jumping into illustrator. Another good way of finding tutorials is to do a search in google for the type of tutorial you're looking for. Example: "logo design photoshop tutorial" or "how to design a website in photoshop". Good luck on your journey!
