Yes, It seems daft but It doesn't matter know what's done is done.

If this is going to give my website a good boost, get my keywords up in the search engines, get good backlinks from high authority websites then this is good enough.

In short - you just burned $15k in the stove. This will bring you about zero effect in terms of SEO and could probably bring a bunch of random visitors from the web sites that hosts your press release. Those press-release web sites are older than your and has the higher authority already, so, their pages would pop in the search, not yours.

My bad, I meant 'advanced', which is less than 'premium', no AP wires, but usually $199 a pop. If you buy a package deal from them, you can get a huge discount spread over a year or so. I don't know how you could possibly spend $1500 on PRweb, it's almost impossible, right?

My site is nearly 7 years old. What your saying is a load of bull.

If you are doing 1500 press release just for links than its a big FAIL........ I would only pay 1500 for a press release if the news Iam puting out is worth the price.
For example
I would not pay 1500 to let the world know I have changed a picture on my site...
I would pay 1500 if I did something big like found cure for cancer.

For backlinks I would use several of the lower cost releases such as webwire,pr.com etc.....

The only thing that I could recomend is use difreant categories for each pr release this way you will hit biger variety of sites.

lol, man, I guess that you figured it by now, but that is a mistake.

if you want to do press releases dont page more than o.1-0.2 per word... so normally you get a good press release for 50-100 dollars.

the just google unique press release submit service or something similar...

Bobbahead, I think where most people are coming from is that for the $ you are spending you can do a lot more than just doing the same link distribution that PRweb offers. I personally have used them multiple times, but they were specific to things that I was promoting on my website and business, not just for SEO benefit.

Maybe you have other plans and are considering this as a test? Nothing wrong with testing, but again, you do have more options available.

Yes PRWeb is good, but not worth 15k. But are you sure you paid 15k for writing and distribution? They charge $325 for the writing and $370 or something for distribution that's only $700 if you buy it separately, you even bought a package. If I was you I would try to get a refund asap.
ALso, the writers at PRWeb are good but not $325 worth good. You can have a really good writer/journalist write your release for half of the price.

Prweb is good and is expensive..

You need to bring in more diversity -- Press release is for highly targeted traffic (Advantage is that it also gives you a lot of powerful backlinks - both do-follow and no-follow)

start creating and building web2.0 properties, PDF links, Wiki links, Article marketing packages
