Google kept flagging me as a bot or something when I typed in that search phrase.

Well look at my post a few posts above, I explained the problem with the "bot-detection" of Google. We need a good URL Harvester with Proxy support! Anyone has something handy?

Does anyone have an actual step by step guide to use this? There are a lot more questions then answers in this thread.

Also, as I alluted to earlier, What is considered using this too much? Once a week? Once period?

I saw a few posts appreciating PRStorm, and its seems to have Really worked... But thats not the point. If you were to notice most of the referral logs are in txt format, so its does not make sense that it shows up on searching; since its not going to send you any traffic. Because those txt logs contains many urls and they are not hyperlinks so that anybody could click it nor is any search engine bot going to follow it.

Second, many referral logs do use rel="nofollow" that actually tells a search engine not to score this link although it can follow the link, but of no use if your website is already indexed.

Third, PrStorm works by pinging thousands of sites at a time. its waste of time since we don't know how many websites publish their referral logs and are they in html, is your url shown as hyperlink and what if that logs have rel="nofollow".

what the use of your url showing up on searching for "www.yourwebsite.com"; because visitors first of all must know your website link... and who is that stupid searching for referral logs.

PRStorm, no doubt is a great software, but would be highly effective only we could ping website that publish their referral logs in html, your url shown as hyperlink and top of it that website has a good PR and important of all is that you must be referrer of a "relevant website". PRStorm would be real helpful if you want to get your site indexed.

And make sure that your website's URL shows up on other websites and blog's else they can only be seen on referral logs that can create suspicion and might lead to ban or something... Don't forget a few websites do make a list of banned referrers or bad referrers and your website on it may cost you something !! Use PRStrom cautiously...

If you were to search for sites with referral logs by searching say, intext:"Created by awstats", Google flags you as a bot/ Virus since its aware of your intentions , and definitely must found a way to deal with fake Referrers.

There are far more efficient ways to look for URL's than "intext:"Created by awstats"" if you look at the results of what that pulls up, there isnt an awstats page in the first 20 links. If youre automatically scraping these URL's you're going to be banging away at sites that are going to do nothing for you.

I have been testing the keyword url tool.
I have tried loads of keywords. but get no urls.

Same for me. I ended up using the old SoapApi to get around it.

Where can you find more relevant and up to date URL lists?

How long should you be running PR Storm? How often?

if you are that concerned about getting banned by g00gle for using this tool, just put up a couple blogs on wordpress (the community), make a few posts with you links in it and spam the hell out of it. i use it but i am not moderate at all. of course i have backlinks for other sources as well. maybe thats why i get away with it.

I have tried PR Storm by sending 40% directly from the list of 110232 urls (without using anonymous proxies) and I did the same by using anonymous proxies and all with a fast internet connection. I have used one of my websites with a pagerank 3 and this all without any results. I think PR Storm doesn't work anymore because the software is out of date!

It works.

It's easy to test, just spam your own site which has realtime traffic stats and go check.

Even when you spam your own site, with realtime traffic stats to check, it still doesn't work! The PrStorm is out of date.
