I'v been using PrStorm for same a days, and I don't find any backlinks..

I try with a lot of setting, and a lot of "target" web site.

Finally I made a test: targeting a my own blog, so I can look by myself if "refer" is on the list, and... nothing..

I try with a lot of proxy list, and with Tor, but nothing.

In my opinion this program dosen't works.

If anyone of you that say "It work for me" can help to understand how to make it work I'll be thankfull.
But please: just no "words"; let us see some screenshots where we can see the backlink created!

I also still use PRStorm. Whenever I launch a new site PRStorm is part of my motions. I don't really use it for backlinks though I use it for what it was made and that is as a referrer spamming tool. I do get a couple of backlinks from it here and there, but that's not my main goal.

You definitely need your own lists. Try to stick to your niche or something related and you'll see it really works.

It also depends on what stats program you are using. Not every stats program counts PRStorm sites as the referrer. You can also try refreshing your stats program to see if you missed the link. It should instantly show up in your stats after a quick refresh. Also are you testing your proxies before using them? Having all dead proxies is another possibility.

There are 3 threads in BHW on PR Storm and it would be nice if they all got consolidated into one thread. I use the settings as described by this guy:

I also use DomainGrabber as he suggested. PR Storm works for me(and gets links over time) with the exact settings and following his instructions to the letter.

I get proxies from ProxyFire. I delete out all existing domains in urls.txt and replace with what I get from DomainGrabber. I use the user referrer agents suggested by the guy at the link above too, not what is built-in to PR Storm from 2005.

Can I use this for Youtube videos, to get backlinks for my YouTube Videos that is. Also, how common is it that someone gets in trouble with their ISP. That's the main thing scaring me off....

Instead of using proxies, install vidalia and use the localhost privoxy tunnel to the TOR network.

Here's a screenshot..

PRstorm + Privoxy + TOR + Google SiteRipper URL list.

hey henry....just wanted to know how mch % u completed of PR storm when u started to see results...also did u harvest ur own urls or just in the s/w list....are u using any useragent and proxy by urself...and dude where did u get those videos in ur site coz..i have sumthing like that...cheers .............and how namy number of hits u using...

Answering some questions...

1. I usually run a whole list over night and check the results in the morning. You should start to see results in around 24 hours.

2. Yes, TOR should work.

3. Search the first few pages for the URL harvester that was posted, and then search for related sites, or sites with AwStats enabled.

4. A for best settings go, I don't use proxies. Also make sure that you are using multiple threads so it can run faster. 1 hit per URL should be fine aswell.

I tried to find some URLs but am not so sure what to look for

for instance:

inurl:awstats.pl and inpage combinations of the words in page (summary, etc)

any better way?

what I have also seen: awstats is sometimes only showing the keywords searched for, so a google referer might also be a good idea?

I've found webalizer, wusage and tracewatch.

Please everyone share the other names if you have any, so we can all get some new ideas for footprints.

My case study.

Three new domains that I created into autoblogs on the same niche.

Site1 - No PR Storm
Site2 - PR STORM with the links it came with [1 time RUN]
Site3 - PR STORM with 200k harvested URLS [1 time RUN]

Results after 1 month
Site1 - 837 visitors
Site2 - 1296 visitors
Site3 - 2015 visitors

All sites can still be found in google.

Not to scientific, but for me running it once within the first week of creation seems to help.
