Alright Im a total noob to proxies, heres my problem
If you read on the official website it says ProxyFirewall doesn't work on Vista. But I read on a forum that is should actually work fine except with some crashes.
I installed it and here's what happen. I run it as administrator. As soon as I run it it actually acts as a firewall. All my applications stop connecting to the internet. Then I add my proxies and make some rules to allow firefox/IE/etc. and they can connect to the internet.
But when I go to a page like hxxp://whatismyip.com it shows my real IP address. Means it's not working, right?
I also just notice I get this weird thing. When Proxyfirewall is running it seems I sometimes get a bad proxy and firefox times out. I click the button to manually change the proxy and then it works again. Is it possible that the program and proxies are working fine, but that they can see my ip anyway?
Am am doing something wrong or is it because it doesn't work on Vista? Is there any alternative to ProxyFirewall for Vista? (Cant find the drivers for XP)
