ProxyDroid + Instagram

Is there any way to find out if Instagram actually use the IP address that I set up in ProxyDroid?
I enabled the global proxy in ProxyDroid settings and also checked my IP through web browser although I got phone verification as soon as I finally managed to log into my acc (which also took a while because "an unknown network error has occured" message). Account was one month old and I used the same proxy as I did from its creation.
Maybe I have done something wrong?
Alternatively, is there some more reliable app where I can set the proxy up?

Make sure your device is rooted, otherwise ProxyDroid will have no effect. And as far as I know that's one of the most efficient ways to use a proxy on Android.

Thanks, it is rooted though, Ive got an android tablet today only for this purpose. I was hoping to create some accounts too (with the help of some other app for device id changing) but havent had any success with it either.
Dunno, its pretty dissapointing Ive literally spent whole day trying to figure it out but havent got anywhere :/

can someone answer a question:

i installed proxyDroid (PD) on bluestacks (BS). click create new profile, enter proxy in host, enter port#, check auto connect, enable proxy switch. (super user granted)
open a browser in BS, go to http://ipchicken.com
it still shows my own IP?

i installed PD by apk (no app store, no google account needed). somehow rootChecker did not install. however, PD did not ask me to root, so i assume it's rooted.

If root checker was not installed & it did not ask for root permission, then most likely the root didn't work. Any program that needs root access will pop up & request permission. Hope this helps
