Proxycap configuration not working?

I am using proxycap to route my web browsers through some dedicated proxies I bought. I followed the instructions on the proxycap site and configured a rule to route internetexplorer.exe through my proxy. When I go on IE and check my IP address, the only place I see my proxy's IP being used is bing search engine when I search "what is my IP". Google search and every IP address checker otherwise shows my IP as being my regular home address. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do? Thanks for any help

Configure the proxy in your web browser natively.

Alternatively you can use proxy addons like FoxyProxy to switch between proxies with ease, it's available for Chrome, FF and Opera too, if you use this addon to be able install Chrome extensions.

There's no benefit using ProxyCap with a browser, because you can set the proxies from within browsers. ProxyCap is best for apps/programs, which don't have built-in proxy support.
