Proxy vs. VPN

There seems to be more proxy users than vpn, but looks like users are more satisfied with vpn more?

If you have experienced both, which service do you like over which one and why?

I read numerous good reviews on HideMyAss, anyone else will recommend this?

Yeah i'm thinking about getting the VPN on hidemyass as well its like 11 bucks per month , i'd like to know as well

I love HMA and have had it for several months. If you have servers near your home it will be very fast and stable. You can set it to automatically change your ip as often as you like.
The only problem is with some of the Scrapebox stuff you'll still need proxies because it takes about 30 seconds to change your ip.

can you set HideMyAss to automatically change IP every 5 or 10 minutes ?

Only problem I find is it reveals your true IP for 30 seconds or so while it's changing.

From what I understand, it is better to use a VPN service that does not keep logs

so I was wondering whether or not hidemyass keeps logs? does anyone know that answer to this?

it depends what ur using it for. If its for making stealth accounts of some sort then a VPN or VPS is the best way to go.

HMA is better than proxies and pretty much the same price. why use proxies when u can have VPN

i also use hidemyass vpn and i love it. the price is cheap..about $11 a month..i always connect using PPTP type of connection. PPTP is much faster than openvpn.. They also have good customer support.

I have a software that does a set repetitive task every 2 mins.. i have to provide it with proxies for it to work efficiently, would it be better to use VPN from HMA for this purpose so the software works automatically and i can also set the IP changes automatically ?

It really depends on what you are looking for. For example if you mass create accounts or post stuff on CL, then most softwares are asking for pure proxies so get those. From the other hand if you want to surf the web with these proxies I would prefer VPN.

At least this is what I do!..
