Hi what do you recommend for scraping emails? proxy? vpn? for example if I buy 10 proxies from InstantProxies how many emails can I scrape per day? and for how many days?
What are the differences from using one tool from another?
I tried one scraper (wich I think is a few years old..) and scraped google and gave me around just 20 emails for a big city that there should be at least over 200 business...

This depends on your scraper and the target website from where you want to extract the emails.

What are the differences from using one tool from another?

The main difference is that VPNs encrypt your traffic at a system's level and proxy do not.

Another difference is that you can use only one VPN connection (IP) at once, whereas with proxies, you can set your tool to use as many IPs as you have/want.

VPN won't likely work for scraping. Neither will a datacenter proxy. What you need is a residential proxy - you will look like a real user and most of them are rotating, so they can rotate with each requests, for example. What's more, they often charge per GB, so they're perfectly suited for web scraping.

Out of curiosity, this scraper that gave you only 20 results, did you pair it with any kind of proxy?

for best results, use proxies - residential or 4G mobile proxies only. Avoid Datacenters

It depends on what you're scraping. It's generally better to use a proxy for this purpose - easier to implement and set up.

If you're scraping content, a proxy is easy to get set up in most software& very easy to implement in a script. It also means you can have a script randomize through a pool of proxies concurretly.

However for a VPN, it's a lot harder to concurrently switch through different VPN connections

Most VPNs have an option to use the VPN as an HTTP/SOCKS proxy. They're also much cheaper than buying individual proxies and allow frequent IP location switching.

4G proxies I would suggest for scraping. Time depends on the volume of emails you scrape and the speed of the proxies.
