Hi portalweb,

I'm using your latest version on firefox addon and it seems that Referer doesn't work. No matter what I select (Random or Rotate) it will always select back to Default. Sometimes it works, but I have to select it for every reload.

Is this a known bug? If so, can you put in a fix for it? That's the only thing preventing from me using this plugin.

Please let me know. Thanks!

Thanks for your gracious comments about the proxy tool FF plugin.

I agree with you that we need the keyboard shortcuts added for the proxy tool FF plugin. In that case, we will add the keyboard shortcuts as described below:

Shift+3 - Open HTTPS import window and paste the HTTP/HTTPS proxy list in it.
Shift+4 - Open Socks4 import window and paste Socks4 proxy list in it.
Shift+5 - Open Socks5 import window and paste Socks5 proxy list in it.

Shift+E - to turn on/off proxy services (red/green)
Shift+S - to switch to next proxy IP

Shift+H - Switch to HTTP/HTTPS Proxy Type
Shift+K - Switch to Socks4 Proxy Type
Shift+O - Switch to Socks5 Proxy Type
Shift+R - Switch to next HTTP Referrer (override Default/Random/Rotate)
Shift+? - Help (opening proxy tools FF help web site)

Shift+C - Clear all Flash cookies/Site Cookies

Please let me know if it's acceptable - then I'll have these new keyboard shortcuts incorporated into Proxy Tool FF plugin, along with one minor improvement related to http referrer services.

Until then, please stay tuned...and let others know about this proxy tool FF plugin.

Here's how it works:

When you open the main site for the first time with known http referrer configured in proxy tool, that main site will see that you came from other site via "clicked link", such as Google, Yahoo, etc. Once you're on that main site, the http referrer is "turned off" automatically.

It would not make any sense to drag the same http referrer on all different web pages from that main web site - which would raise red flag easily.

Technically, it's not a bug as it is how this http referrer is handled by proxy tool. However, you're not the only one who asked about this same issue. For that, I agree with you (and others). Customers are always right (most of the time, you know? )

On the upcoming proxy tool FF plugin revision, we will ensure that the http referrer is "re-active" automatically on every new opened web page, based on fixed, rotated, or randomized option. When? Very soon... :)

Note: The current version 1.15 proxy tool, it disables the http referrer after the first web page is loaded.

Thanks for the fast reply. Will you please post on this thread when the new version is out? Even beta? :)

Is there a fast way to re-enable the user-agent setting after each page load aside from manually clicking it? Will the short-cut Shift+R work?

Hi portalweb, one more request (if not already avail):

Can you create a keyboard shortcut to cycle through or randomly select a different User Agent?

Just a request.. you don't actually have to do it (well, you know). Thanks man!

Your wish is granted. We will look into it ..and get it updated soon, as I agree with your idea. Since we are dealing with the main server that went down 2 days ago due to failed PSU (we have 24 servers out there), we are close in restoring the non-essential services. I believe we will have the updated version in 1 week or so.

Meanwhile, is there anything else you would like us to add to this awesome proxy tool? :)

Not that I can think of right now. I'll let you know if I do. Thank you again for creating such an AWESOME (truly) and useful plugin. And for answering our questions, requests, and emails so quickly.

Thank you!

Proxy tool already have the spoofed user agent and http referrer (which it does not mention).

It will be very challenging to add few more features to proxy tool to spoof these additional fingerprints such as:

- Font
- Screen Size
- Browser Plugins
- User ID

Until then, please stay tuned.

Are you referring to the "free http" proxies come with proxy tool FF plugin? These 5 free http proxies are updated once a day. It's only available for quick proxy browsing, or for someone who can't afford proxy subscriptions.

Also, if you got the IP : port from elsewhere (such as free proxy lists anywhere), please expect that they are not always working - because they are not updated by online proxy tester tools or desktop application.

At last, you may want to check your network properties on your computer with better DNS based on where you (and your computer) are located. (see my earlier posts here)

Hope it helps.
