Guys I want to set up an XXX tube site, but I expect DMCA complaints so I need to set up a reverse proxy on my video server to mask the IP, but I need to do it without affecting my 1gbps line speed

Does anyone have any idea what I can use? Would cloudflare be usable for this or would speed be affected?

Alternatively I came across these...

HAProxy
Apache
Nginx
Squid proxy
vulcland
traefik
relayd
privoxy

But my server is high monthly rental so I cant begin services and start testing various proxies... can anyone offer any advice?

HaProxy is the best for proxy server and Nginx is another one but required more server which are more costly for you.You can check cloudflare service ,Hope it is cost effective for you.

Cloudflare is a free service, a lot of torrent-sites use it to mask their real ip-addresses.
All the other mentioned methods have to run on a server you own, so one way or the other, you also would be the owner of the proxy-servers.
Other solution: try a dmca bulletproof offshore host.

Man thats something I totally overlooked, glad you pointed that out

Yes CF would be ideal, but you're right, cost is a factor + I dont know which package I would need... $20 or $200

I would have 0 traffic to begin, but I plan to use the 1gbps unmetered line to its full after not too long

Anyone know what plan I would get away with on CF?

Ok so the original question is now moot - I have 2 viable choices - cloudflare or sucuri, CF is either 20/200$ and sucuri is either 10/20/70$ so thats all good I can work with that, nice one guys you cured a headache for me

Something else i'm unsure on is where my CMS will be installed, its a simple question but I cant find the answer

I'll have 2 servers, server 1 a front end to display content and server 2 a back end to host the content. But which server would I install the CMS on?

Other solution: try a dmca bulletproof offshore host.

The problem with that option is the service is by no means guaranteed and I suspect its highly unlikely that I'll get a quality service like I think I will get from the reputable host i've chosen. I'm already taking a risk in doing this and a risk on top of a risk is not a good idea, its too much of a gamble

You could start with the free Cloudflare option and see how it works out. When people check your website's IP it will give a Cloudflare IP.
Your CMS is running on your own server/ webhost. Cloudflare is just a buffer-zone caching your website's content.

If you get a DMCA while running over Cloudflare, they will send you a notice anyway and you can be traced easily whilst if you go with your own solution ( I suggest squid or HA proxy = offshore hosting ) you can save yourself.

A problem I noticed with CF is they send the DMCA's to the server host and in my case, with it being a reputable host they will take me down. I understand the CMS is hosted by me, i'm unsure as to which 1 of my 2 servers it will be hosted on... the front end server that displays the site or the back end where the videos are stored

The hosting isnt going to be in my name, they can send as many notices to 'me' as they like - what I need to stop is DMCA's going to my video server host, and unfortunately it is CF policy to do that so CF is pretty much dead

I'm not sure what you mean by using squid/HAP... they're hosted by me right?... so would display my IP? Plus offshore hosting would negate the need for a proxy. The problem with that is reliability and price - the 1 I found is 12tb storage + a 1gbps dedi, unmetered line. Trying to find anything like that at a decent price on an offshore/no DMCA server is impossible

Same with sucuri too - only other options are dosarrest or incapsula but are DA is $500/mo and incapsula is $300/mo but that only includes protection for layer 7 ddos attacks, for layer 3+4 and DNS protection its $quote so in other words out
