Proxy Testing - Which is accurate?

I've tried a few different "proxy testing" software programs, and it's odd how they all have very different results for the same list of proxies.

The tester that comes with Scrapebox seems to be the most professionally written and has the best filter options, so I'm ASSUMING it's one of the better ones. Do others agree, or is there something better?

I'm a bit confused as to why I can test a proxy 10 to 20 times, and on the last test it suddenly fails with the message "Proxy leaks your IP". That seems odd to me -- why would it NOT leak my IP 10 to 20 times, then suddenly decide to do that?

having been using proxy testers since ooh 2002-2003 most tester give those varying
results due to how there made to check a proxy and also alot of proxy testers rely
on a proxy judge , 1 can call a proxy anonymous where another says its transparent
which is why its a good idea to have several proxy judges on standby to swap

Public proxies are unreliable. Pretty much as simple as that.

public proxies have there limited place and use - but they will never supersede private proxies

Yes, but are they really programmed to leap IPs only on the 10th or 20th use? Or is the test software wrong? What would be the purpose of doing that?

If you are talking about public proxies, then it's just that for a period of time they remain anonymous etc. But then for many possible reasons (maybe the person in-charge decides to make it non-anonymous, maybe the ip was dynamic in nature and something changed) it's working can change. This is just a theory. Public proxies keep changing these tests change too.
