Hello guys. I think to start a proxy site (only one for now) and i need good and cheap proxy hosting. I host my another sites in Germany, so i need hosting only for this proxy site. How much bandwidth does it need? I expect 1500-2000 visitors per day for now. Thanks a lot for the answers!

A lot of hosting places doesnt allow proxy websites because they use much server resources (especially CGI proxy script). Best would be if you go to DP and take a look at what hosting providers people use and like nowadays.

Is cmodz-hosting.com good for hosting my proxy? How much bandwidth one proxy site generates per months with 2-3k visits per day?

Where would you want your hosting provider located?

I know that Linode allows proxy hosting and has datacenters on the west coast, east coast, and central US. They only provide VPSes but they are amazing.

No experience with these guys so I can't recommend them or not. I have heard pretty good overall reviews though: http://www.iwhic.com

If you don't mind high prices and expect quality, then use TechEntrance. IF needed you could also upgrade to a VPS or Dedicated because the owner of TechEntrance also owns WDServers. I highly suggest them! Even though they aren't the cheapest they are the best. They host your proxys on Octe-Core (yes 8 cores) Servers. If you need to upgrade for more bandwidth than your cost gets pro-rated. I've spoken to the owner several times and he is the coolest - AIM "thewird"... hes the best...

The 2nd option - the best "bang for the buck" is TMZHosting.com - 5.99/month for 110GB bandwidth and 10.99/month for 230GB bandwidth, although I don't know if their hosting is quality.... Maybe someone with experience with them can clarify.
