THIS THREAD IS FOR THE REVIEWS ON PRIVATE PROXY PROVIDERS ONLY

Okay, this thread is made out of my experiences (mostly bad) from the Proxy providers here in BHW. I don't know what is up because it seems like each one of them (or at least those whom I have tried getting proxies from) is getting their proxies from 1-2 Proxy resellers. Why? Because almost all the proxies die within the first week and pretty much do not live up to the hype that is set up by the service owners.

You may agree, you may disagree but this is strictly ONE MAN'S OPINION and I am exercising that right to post a thread here in order to guide others so here goes my review.

    1. IPXPRT's NewIPNow.com - here is the thread

    Communication - 9/10

Communication was pretty good but I usually have to wait more than 24 hours to get a reply (sometimes more than 48 hours, which is understandable because it's a weekend).

    Quality Of Proxies - 9/10

Each proxy was medium-fast and was in different subnets (probably 4 or 5 different subnets per 20 proxies which is an admirable).

    Lifespan Of Proxies - 2/10

Proxies keep dying in 5 - 8 days. You have to be ready always to contact support as the proxies keep dying. They sometimes gives you a fresh list only to find out 50% are dead from the new list.

    2. unr3al's Fully Anonymous Private Proxies - thread here

    Communication - 10/10

Took 48 hours before they contacted me after I asked for a refund because of below... (However the plus side is that they immediately gave out a refund upon request)

    Quality Of Proxies - 1/10

Each proxy was dead from the beginning. Didn't bother anymore asking for a new list because this signals that they do not value their customer's time at all.

    Lifespan Of Proxies - 1/10

Each proxy was dead from the beginning. Didn't bother anymore asking for a new list because this signals that they do not value their customer's time at all.

    3. ProxyBlaze's High Anonymous Elite Private Proxies - thread here

    Communication - 1/10

When I ordered, it took around 36 - 48 hours before I got my list of proxies. I contacted them now asking for the proxies but it is really taking awhile before I get a new list. Based from the comments of others, 3 - 5 days is the usual turnaround time for a new list (which means you're losing out 10% - 15% of the days of your monthly subscription everytime a list is down).

    Quality Of Proxies - 2/10

I'm giving an additional 1 point because at least the proxies are not dead. Out of the 10 I have ordered, 2 of them are alive but these 2 were slow. All of the proxies are from the same A block, B block and C block. The only difference is the D block and almost all have 3 digits too. That's a huge footprint to be honest.

    Lifespan of Proxies - 1/10

A day after I used the proxies, they were dead. Wow.

    4. faster's Squid Proxies - see thread here

    Communication - 8/10

It would take 2-3 days before a new list is given. Probably because of a weekend or something so I'm not sure. However, I would have given a 10 if they would explain to me why a proxy or two would die every single day after I would receive a new list. It seems other people use it, I do not know.

    Quality of Proxies - 10/10

For the 4 I have tried, this provider gives out one of the best proxies when it comes to the speed and diversity of proxies so I can't argue with that.

    Lifespan of Proxies - 4/10

They die fairly quickly. I think in the original post it says every 2-3 weeks but in reality, the proxies die every 6 - 10 days. You have to request a new list every time this happens. In 1 month, 3 lists died (the list that took long to die was around 12 days -- almost 2 weeks).

    CONCLUSION

I have yet to find a reliable proxy provider to be honest. It seems almost all the providers give out temporary proxies and it is becoming annoying. Most of the providers have started their service on 2009 - 2010 so it would be expected that in their 2-3 years of service, they would have been able to find quality proxies but this isn't the case.

Up to this day, I am in search for reliable & TRULY private proxies that can withstand the test of time. If you have found a good one, I would definitely consider it. If it's good, I would add it here. If it's bad, I'll post a bad review here.

Feel free to contend against my reviews or to agree with them, AGAIN, this is based from my personal experience and I'm pretty sure a few have different opinions.

I'm not sure if they operate a thread here on BHW but proxy51 has been pretty good for me so far.

Proxies are private for $1 each. I've been using them relatively heavily for 3 weeks and only 4 have stopped working (but that might be banned by this particular method I'm doing and they might still work on other sites)

But yeah, i'll continue to use proxy51 for the foreseeable future.

And for public proxies for scraping I use Proxyo's weekly service which does a great job for scraping.

If you have a good monthly budget then it's not very hard to setup your own proxy server. You can get a decent server on 100 Mbps Connection, get IPs and start rolling.

I am personally doing that for all my projects and loving :)

I have been using proxy51's shared proxies as part of the signature deal.
Almost all the proxies are live. They are slow but that is to be expected from shared proxies.

Have also subscribed to their private proxies ( paid )
Will post in the thread after testing.

@veheme - great thread - we need these threads here to choose a reliable proxy provider.
As you have mentioned , they are hard to come by unless you are willing to make them yourselves.

Oh sorry to not review your service since I have tried it and can rate it 9.99/10. This thread is only referring to private proxies. I should edit the title then.

I would suggest you since none of the companies fit your requirements to try at least to setup your own proxy server.
Differences are HUGE and it is fairly not too hard to setup one, there are many guidelines to look at.

Possible but I'm not a hardcore Proxy user. I just need a few for my guys when they create web 2.0 accounts and another few for my SEO tools.

There are two companies right now that I highly suggest you look at. I personally have been using a subscription from both of them for around a year now and have never had any issues and I use my proxies for everything i.e scrapebox, senuke etc.

I have left detailed reviews on each here:

    http://www.scrapeboxproxiesx.com/buy-proxies/
    http://www.scrapeboxproxiesx.com/myprivateproxy/

BuyProxies has some of the fastest response times I've ever seen when it comes to support tickets or emails. Not even joking, usually I get responses with 20-30min and the longest I have ever waited was around 3 hours once.

MyPrivateProxy has an great control panel that tells you what cities your proxies are coming from and if you need proxies from a particular region the owner Alex is great at getting you setup. Personally I've never worried about where their geo location is but when I signed up Alex asked me right up front if I needed proxies from a certain area, that was awesome.

Proxy51 as others have mentioned is still relatively new to me in terms of how long I have heard of them however I have tried their private proxies out and am in the process of getting a review published for them as well.

I've been using squid proxies on sb for a month now and not once have they died on me, could it possibly be that u spam the hell out of the proxies, personally i use them at a 30% level so they have time to cycle through.

I can't speak for the OP on how they use their proxies but I had the same experience with Squid when I used them. I would get my list and before doing anything else I would immediately test them with SB and I would without fail always have 3-5 (of my 10) proxies blocked/banned before even using them.

I was told to contact support and request SB friendly proxies but the results were the same. That was about a year ago now so maybe thing have improved but for the time I used them it was enough of a headache to not go back.

I don't spam them excessively. I have like 20 proxies on my rotation and these 20 would go out to 1.5k - 2k submissions a day. that's like 75 - 100 submits per IP. I don't think that is extreme to be honest.

How many proxies can you get for say $50. Also the a lot of people like non-sequential IP's for their proxies which I assume can't be done on a VPS.
