i asked chatgpt if it could and it said it was possible, not out the box, but with other tools and squid proxy. Thats one of the goto software if you want to setup a basic proxy which I done years ago, but never went as far as what you want. Worth investigating, as if you can get chatgpt to help you set it up, you could have a working test model in a day or so.

The free version store the proxy on their server. It works, but they have access to it.

If you really want something that will work without any access by vendor then two options.
1: Find a open source project on git or any other repository.
2: Make yourself one by paying to dev if you can afford.
Because, Mostly free might have been using your proxy too most probably.

can you get sued if a user looks up some shady illegal sht with your proxy? thats what im afraid of and stopping me from putting my store to use

Each country has a list of blocked domains. Ask your local authority about it and block it. Ask proxy software vendor how to block sites.
Log users ip addresses and websites they visited. Ask proxy software vendor how to make these logs.

It’s definitely a risk, but there are reliable ways to protect yourself:
- Keep logs or make sure your proxy software vendor keeps them and provides them upon your request (Bers666 mentioned this).
- Carefully keep your own records of proxy access sales, so if needed (even a year later!) you know who was granted your proxies and for what period.
- Ask about the intentions behind the proxy use from your buyers, and warn them in advance that logs are stored by the proxy software vendor.
- Avoid working with 100% anonymous buyers. Ask them to at least verify their mobile phone number. Keep all correspondence. If you want to further secure yourself, you can create a proxy sales agreement (you can ask me for a template in a private message, I’d be happy to share it).
