What do you guys think? I have been forum leeching but its not working out for me, all the proxies are usually dead or slow. I haven't tried port scanning yet but I got a copy of proxy hunter. I am not sure if I should use it though becasue port scanning is illegal and my ISP can ban me for it. I am trying to find fast L1 proxies.

The alternative is setting up my own c class with squid I believe (not really sure how to do that). Would this be a better alternative, or can I find decent ones on my own?

Proxyfire master suite, forum proxy leecher, I also use bleach and charon to check them and have proxy hunter and super scan 4.

When I do ("legal") port scans, then I buy a good VPS.
Usually it's banned within a day ;)

Small scale it might work for a long time but if you value your ISP you might not want to risk the troubles, eh ?

You make a very good point justone, I will look into this, thank you.

justone is exactly correct, if you haven't done it before, it's going to be a hard road to get into. It's not for amateurs, it's a very real possibility that you can lose your internet service for doing it wrong.

I'd look for better sources or a paid solution, me.

Okay, so if I get a paid solution what are my options? I know theres packetflip, what are the others? Or am I better off just trying to setup a c class on a dedi with squid?

You look at the rest of the ones in the BST forum?

Also: What are you trying to do? It matters in that you might need a different type/provider.
