I would like to buy some residential proxies because having an ip address that doesn't resolve to data center makes life so much easier.
I like to analyze all consequences of an action before taking that action, sometimes to the point of paralysis by analysis.
these proxies are shared. even if the seller says they are dedicated to me, I don't believe it. I am going to assume its shared.
so let's say I get a proxy with ip address 12.93.19.24 (just making up numbers here)
let's say 12.93.19.24 is being used by some other user for nefarious purposes
authorities are trying to figure out who 12.93.19.24 belongs to. they have been trying to years with no success.
let's say I use this proxy to make a blog comments somewhere to backlink to my website
so authorties will know this ip address was used to leave a blog comment that links to my website. therefore, this ip address belongs to the owner of the website. who is the owner of the website? me. now I will get arrested for something that someone else did with that proxy.
does this make sense or am I being crazy?
