Proxy questions

Hey guys, wasn't too sure what category to put this in.
So, I am super into reselling sneakers and have seen that alot of people are making money from selling proxies.
I understand how to generate using the main "Datacenter providers" like AWS, GCP, Digital Ocean etc. etc.
What I'm wondering is how people generate Residential/AIO proxies?
Do I have to buy a whole subnet/block of IPs as they seem to be like $6k+ which is quite pricy

Only mods/admins can I believe.

There was a thread I came across recently showing how to make your own proxy, so I believe if you do that on a large scale you may not need to spend that much to start off with. I'm not sure of this but I recommend having a look in that sub-section as you may find it there.

how people generate Residential/AIO proxies

There are few ways:
- botnet
- own proxy setup with for example 100 sim cards and 100 usb modems.
- you can directly talk to ISP and ask him to give you access to his IP pool but unless you are going to offer tens thousands of usd a month you will be refused for sure.

Do I have to buy a whole subnet/block of IPs as they seem to be like $6k+

IPs can be rented, but no one will rent you block if you will tell its for proxies. Well some people may rent you whole block of IPs without asking questions but it would be expensive. Still this solution is not anything good because sneaker sites block proxies by ranges so even if you rent big block you will be blacklisted soon or very soon.

A few questions if you don't mind!
What is a botnet?
Do you know any good tutorials about making my own proxy setup with simcards? I assume I could just get loads of those free ones?
Yeah, I think actually buying/renting a block is not cost effective due to the harshness of banning from sneaker sites

Botnet in most countries = jail.
Own setup with sim cards = you need to know what you do + you need linux knowledge. You wont find professional tutorials for setup with sim cards that work in production - its too complicated.

Lets say you want to make 4g proxy setup with 100 ports (so you have 100 different IPs accessible at same time). Hardware costs would be at last $5k + know how because you will face many problems with such setup and without skills you wont be able to solve them.

Solution?
Buy proxies - rsocks, sockshub etc.

Now its SELL TRAFFIC using apps , They use to run residential proxies. Botnet is not stable.
