    Hi.

This is probably a stupid question but here goes :

If i am using a proxy and have set my gmail on autoresponder, when i switch off my laptop, will the emails being sent out on autoresponder still go through the proxy address (as long as the proxy has not expired!).

I assume you are using a proxy for your browser and the gmail "Vacation responder". So no, weather your laptop is on or off it doesnt matter, emails are not sent through your proxy either way. Gmail doesnt know who you are (because you surf with a proxy), but all the email being sent by the gmail mail servers can be traced to your specific gmail account.

    Hope this helps.
