Some vendors state their proxy uses a mobile device and a simcard, but others don't.
What is the difference between the two and are they detectable by financial sites etc?
 
Is there a difference in use? Are they detectable. I am seeing a have huge price difference too, not sure if it's due to this feature.

No, the difference is only the way how the proxy is created.

As mentioned by @turelink, there are few ways how a proxy can be created.
The price is different because it is much more expensive to have a real mobile phone + sim card dedicated to be as a proxy, whereas using someones connection through bandwidth sharing app costs only per GB sold (that is, of course, once you have the whole infrastructure setup to have those applications for bandwidth sharing in the first place).

4g, 5g mobile data is typically the highest quality proxy you can get. It’s best to just get a sim on a cheap android and host your own proxy though.

I don't get it. If I live in a restricted geolocation, I need proxies from other locations/countries. What's the advantage of creating my own proxies?

I am not sure if my speculation here is correct:
So, if the proxy is generated by sharing someones bandwdith through an pp, we use their mobile proxy. So, it is a shared proxy between myself, phone holder, and maybe others.
If the proxy is on a dedicated device and sim, it's a dedicated proxy. Hence, higher quality and less chance of flag.

some is others app share internet connection, similar like p2p network,

So, Is't Hola vpn a vpn service but a proxy service?

You won't know if it's dedicated to you (and likely it isn't). That can only be decided and known by the service provider.
 
The difference is if you are using p2p rotating 4g proxies, the IP you have probably won't last long as users are connecting and reconnecting all the time. If it is a 4g Sim on a real device, the IP can be static until you would like to rotate it which gives you better control

Good point. So, that shouldn't be a big issue if ip rotate in the same area/city. Other than that, there shouldn't be a big difference.

In this case, I was refering to mobile proxies in both scenarios. One type, uses real device and sim, whereas the other, do not.
Isn't it suspicious if we open a website from PC using mobile proxy?
