I always find proxy by using this sites. Maybe there is a better list but so far I have been able to get what I needed here:

    samair.ru/proxy

    This is not my site

Great site, thanks. Got 103 working proxies from it :) I need more proxies, so if you have similar sites, please post.

You guys use charon? I think I'm just going to write my own google scraper like charon.

I think to test whether or not proxy anonymous.. Write a script that connects to potential proxy and uses it to call a second script on the same server. If the ip of the call is different from the ip of the server, then it's anonymous. How does on identify a high-anon vs an anon. Anon identifies itself as a proxy, but in what way? Header?

Why would you want to write your own scraper? Use AccessDiver, it has all the features you need and more.

U also might want to learn about the different types of proxies...some types are complete crap and will do u absolutely no good using them.

Also, the lists that say 'checked and verified' generally die pretty quick, running these lists through a checker is a must in order to verify proxy validity. Also will save u some time and headaches from getting BS lists of supposedly 'guaranteed' proxies.

You can get fairly large lists from cspy.org (I see roughly a 20-30% success rate)

And i wrote a simple proxy checker earlier today that you can use to check them. (it is similar to the one at samair, but not limited at 50 per run, and is hostedon your server)

If there is a lot of interest in it, i will write a new (faster, multi-threaded) one that scrapes and checks.

Thanks for the script, I3lackI-Iat. You should definitely write the new one you mentioned.

Ive posted a multithreaded proxy checker I coded, in the downloads section a long time ago.. that might be of interest to you.

proxy-list.org is a great site for working realtime proxies.
