I bought a list of proxies, the supplier gave me a list of 10,000 proxies in this format (IP:pORT). The problem is that they all share the same 2 IPs that repeat in each line, only different ports. Like this:
IP1:2344
IP1:3445
IP2:8045
IP1:9454
IP2:2451

Sharing the same 2 IPs made me think, have I been scammed? I bought the 10K proxies to have 10K different IPs. But I only got 2 IPs repeating all over the list, or, does maybe the different ports change something and still I can use different ports to visit the same website without getting myself banned.

even if the IP is the same the connection port is the one that allows the connection and once you connect will show you a different IP in the location you selected for the proxy and each port should have a different IP.

Could you actually connect two or more such proxies, and check the actual public IP you get when you browse? If it is the same, ask for a refund coz it is stupid.

if you have something like this

100.1.1.1:8080
100.1.1.1:3128

by this i mean the ip is the same across say across 50 proxys 100.1.1.1
but all there changing is the port at the end, then yes its 2 ips

You need to check the IP on whatsmyip.com

if it's the same then you've been scammed.

10K proxies is alottttttt!

The reason could be that different ports are used for different connections. So the IP1 and IP2 are used by you to access their network, and from there, a proxy server is chosen, and it will offer a different IP address.

Often such tricks with ports mean that they have rotating proxies.

As the person above me said, use IP address checking websites to see your IP address, and it probably is unique and not IP1 or IP2.

If the provider is legit, each of these ports are simply a proxy to your proxies. Just check a few ports and see what IP the world sees — they should each be different.

This is common practice. It gives both the provider and buyer better management of proxies. Also stops large swaths of their IPs becoming easily shared and blacklisted.
