    Hi,

Iv'e never used proxies before and would be grateful if someone could take a few secs and answer a couple of questions for me

    1. I need just five proxies that only I will use daily. No massive traffic, prob less than 2Mb each (not even sure if this matters)

    2. How do I load them up in IE? i.e. make sure I am using that proxy?

    3. I assume these will cost money. How much should I be paying (per month?) per private proxy?

    4. Can I get them all to be UK address, and will be be blatently obvious they are proxies?

    Cheers if anyone can answer

    1. Cool, only one problem though. Can't see the question here.

    3. You can get them for $2.5 each here on BHW.

    4. Yes you can but not all sellers provide such a service. You need to ask.

    1. That amount of traffic can't be a problem.

    2. Check out apekillape's sticky in the Proxies section how to configure IE to use it with proxies.
Personally i'd recommend firefox with foxyproxy addon to deal with proxies, it can be a pain in the ass, everytime configuring IE whenever you want or don't want to use a proxy however it's not complicated at all. How do you make sure if you're using a proxy or not? Just go to whatsmyipaddress.com and check your IP, if it shows the IP of the proxy, you do everything right, if it shows your real IP, then you should check your settings and correct them.

    3. Yea, that will cost you money, but the price depends on quite a few things: of course depends on the provider :) and if you want exclusive/dedicated private proxies or shared ones.
So the price will vary, but it won't be an insane amount for only 5 proxies, that's for sure.

    4. Yes, you can and no it won't be blatantly obvious, but if somebody wants to find out if you use proxies or not and if he knows his stuff, then he'll find out!

And also before buying the proxies, ask your provider if you can use those proxies to the task you want them for, because ie you can use the proxies for forum profile creating, but you won't be allowed to use them for mailing.

Check out the 'Proxies For Sale' section for providers and ask them if they can provide UK proxies, because some of them only offer US ones ;)
