Proxy genius is a good software but it comes with virus..

Hi,

recently i have just downlaoded a free software proxy genius. It is way better than other free softwares. But my AV detects virus in it.

I want to know is it really dangerous virus or it is just limited to adware. Because at times i see pop-ups ads by bishop. But those ads are also not regular.

What do you recommend? SHall i quit it or continue.
