Proxy for instagram not working?!

Hi,
Im trying to use proxy to access Instagram so my IP wont get banned in case I get flagged or something. When I try to login on Instagram I get the error message "Unable to log in. An unexpected error occured".
I set up the proxy in the iphone settings, do instagram detect this?
I also tried using the app Potatso recommended by Nath Ashton, but I does not work.

Do you have any recommendations for apps I can use my own proxy? Or how do you do it?

have you found the solution for this? I am having a problem with my instagram app too. I am from Philippines and I need to set my location to USA. I did use Potatso app and a proxy. Yet the account still shows I am logged in the Philippines.

Anyone help please?
 
I suggest to use VPN. Proxies can be unstable. (*Residential VPNs)

If you're checking your IP on a site like whatismyipaddress.com and it's still showing the Philippines it sounds like you might have a configuration issue and you're not in fact using the proxy. If you contact your proxy provider they should also be able to confirm this and tell you whether they see you connected from their end.

You are right. This risk always exists, specially datacenter ips. Must be residential vpn with ip pool. Sometimes proxies not effect all network.
 
just do with 4g and u will be fine
 
Like others have said, you really wanna be using high quality mobile proxies for instagram.

That’s what we use and had 0 proxy issues since switching away from residential
