Proxy for Forums?

Hi peeps, I'm looking to post on other forums with a proxy and have some questions. Would I be able to pretend that I am located in a certain country by using that proxy the entire time? (A private proxy that is) and also I've heard that forums have started to try detect users using proxies, but is this the case with private proxies as well?

Not at all, I want to market my product on forums which are kind of area-specific and pretend that I am from that area. I can't say that I live in Germany when my IP shows that I'm in another country. Which is my purpose of using a private proxy

It doesn't matter why you want to use it really, you just need to make sure you're not leaking any details through. http://analyzemy.net/ was just suggested in another post here and will help you in determining if the proxy will work or not for what you need. Don't forget to clear cookies as well though, they can store information that would conflict with your proxy and could give you away. Depending on what kind of security the site has, you may want to set your computer system date/time zone to match that of the proxy you intend on using.

use VPN and change your UA(user agent)..computer system date and time zone will be OK.

Most of the forums detect users IP, when they try to register. A very few of them detect when you try to login. You would be able to hide your location
