proxy find software for UNIX (perl?)

I'm looking for a UNIX proxy scanner, that you input a range to find open proxies (socks, http, etc). What utilities are out there, and does any one know of one that does threads or can spawn several children in order to run faster? I have found a few, but they would take months to complete, lol.

During the development of Proxycollective I also looked for useful tools and found none.
I completely wrote everything new parts from scratch.

I don't think you'll find what you are looking for.
