Hi guys,
there are some sites like:
http://www.proxy-checker.org/
you give them a list and they check if the proxy is working

Is there an easy way (program or such) or a website that can check
if a proxy works for a specific page?

for example:
do these 50 proxies
x.x.x.x:xx
x.x.x.x:xx
x.x.x.x:xx
...
work with facebook.com

is there an easy?

Scrapebox supports this in the Proxy Manager. You skip the Google test and add a custom test.

I use a program called fjproxytester for doing this
Don't know where you could download it though

The free demo available of the app in my sig has a free proxy checker in it.

thanks a lot!
I just tried this but the Scrapebox doesn't show the correct results

I just tried this with facebook and 50 free proxies
I got a lot of 404's and 501/2/3's for proxies that can connect with facebook if I check them manually.

What am I doing wrong?

My screenshot above is off, you'll want to do https://www.facebook.com

I just ran a test and it is working with that. Where did you get the proxies you're using?

Yeah I already tried: https://www.facebook.com

I am testing with free-Proxies from the Proxies archive from: https://checkerproxy.net/

30% of them work fine manually - but Scrapebox shows those mentioned errors.

My goal simply is to filter out the ones that are working for a specific page - would save me a hell of a lot of work

Give me one that fails in SB but succeeds for you and I'll test it out too.

198.50.219.230:8080 - Scrapebox: Error 501
109.60.133.67:8080 - Scrapebox: Error 400
both work if I try them manually

I've been messing around with this quite a bit and can't figure it out. I tested on some other sites, like Flickr and it worked perfectly. I even ran Wireshark to see if I could figure it out without luck. Adding @loopline to see if he has any ideas.

I also tried some other pages but I got the same confusing results.

I found that the PC I am using right now (not my own) has an old version of Scrapebox installed (2014) I think I will try this with a newer version tomorrow.

I also tried to install PaighamBot but my Antivirus went nuts after I downloaded it and I am tired bc it's 4am where I live :)

Just white list the app and files in your AV, or temporarily disable the AV. Then redownload it and install it.

Is there a direct download link to Paighambot because:
"Paigham Bot Is Undergoing Scheduled Maintenance"

and also what the cheapest way to get a fresh version of Scrapebox?
Is there something like an BHW Discount or anything?

Yep, search for scrapebox and you can pick it up for like $67. @Sweetfunny has a thread for it.

Site is back online. Check out it out now.

Its failing because of the language. So facebook is returning a different page in a different language for the Russian proxy.

I used

https://m.facebook.com/?refsrc=https://www.facebook.com/&_rdr

As the pages being requested from facebook varied based on the geo ip and how the end proxy is using it, but that url is consistent.

But facebook does as google does and is serving up the local version. So if you the correct language it works. But you can switch the language on the page, as with most big sites.

So if you do

Custom URL:
https://m.facebook.com/?refsrc=https://www.facebook.com/&_rdr

Custom String:
English (US)

It works fine with all the proxies I tested from different languages.

Also @seo
I use HTTP Debugger Pro - It super handy because it can read https traffic and it shows you want ip is being used and logs all the response data etc.. Its actually what Scrapebox them selves used to troubleshoot things.

I only mention it because its really handy for this sort of thing. It is a paid program, but I got it years ago for hundreds of dollars and now its dirt cheap by comparison and a 2 week free trial.

Thanks man! I thought that might be the case for the Russian one as I used the Meta Grabber and I think it was giving me Portugese Titles/Meta back? I couldn't figure out what was happening with the Canadian proxy as it would just time out (which I thought could be the issue, but when I used the proxy in a browser, it worked fine). Was it returning French?

Thanks for the Debugger tip. I spent a lot of time in Wireshark, but it's hell sometimes trying to piece everything together in it. I don't use it enough to be super proficient. Would you say HTTP Debugger Pro is a bit more friendly?

thanks a lot
but I tried this for like 2hours but it just doesn't work for me.

I got these two free proxies:
52.197.1.102:3128 - works manually
183.207.95.23:8080 - doesn't work

but Scrapebox shows confusing results:

and also I need to test my Proxies against Reddit
what's the adress for Reddit to only be in english and what's a good string to search for?
