Proxies, referrers and Google Analytics - questions!!

Okay - writing a little bot and when the bot visits a websites it leaves a fake referrer etc and all shows up as it should it server logs and wassup stats in wordpress shows the right referrer as well.

However, when I take a look at Google Analytics it shows the right amount of hits, meaning GA counts the visit, but there is no referrer, nada!

Can anyone explain why the referrer isn't showing up in GA - I am confused!
