Proxies question

I was using the list of proxies at http://www.textproxylists.com/proxy.php?allproxy to check pagerank. Some how after a couple hundred iterations I still with the 2-3 hour spanking for hammering. :yell:

Do proxies forward my IP to the server I am hitting? How did they spot me? I am not using a browser for this so it should not be cookies.

Sounds like they might be leaky. Did you run them through Charon or another analyser?

Could be those proxies have been heavily abused, and already blacklisted.
