Proxies on android?

I was wondering if I can use proxies on android and if it's possible, how do I go about it?

No, should be pretty easy to use.
Install the app , add proxy and start using them.
Some don't even need to root the phone.
If the app allow tunneling you can select which apps to allow using proxy and which by pass it.

Okay, is there any special kinds of proxies to use on android? I'm trying to use it on Facebook
And I already checked two app, none of which supports tunnelling

Mobile proxies are the best since Facebook will see that you are on a phone app so it's better to stick with a "phone internet"

Mobile proxies i would guess will be best? You need split tunning if you wanna exclude some apps. Buy default all apps will go through proxy. This is how mobile vpn work so I am assuming proxy will work same way.

If you go into your Wifi settings there should be an option to use a proxy there. The problem is it's not a true global setting and some apps will bypass it and use your default connection. You'd be better off with a VPN but if you're trying to do something on FB that's going to be tricky as they will more than likely have most VPN IPs flagged. There's more complicated ways to force the traffic through a proxy but that usually requires a rooted device and might be a bit hard for you if you're not familiar with this type of thing.

Yeah im not familiar but I can learn
I'm trying to work on FB, I have tutorials on how to do it on a desktop or laptop but I don't have that yet
So I'm looking to do it on my android
 
I used an app to proxy traffic, but as far as I remember it only works if you have root

When you browse facebook on desktop pc is different from when you browse it via phone. When you browse it on pc, Facebook servers will see a browser and they expect someone to use their home internet: wi-fi, or whatever local internet you're using.

When you are on your phone, Facebook servers see that too so they expect an internet connection more phone-like: mobile data first, then wi-fi second, and will look for IPs that are coming from mobile networks and they are changeable or rotating but have the mobile network typology behind.

It's natural, right: you're using a phone, you have a phone mobila data most of the times, and a mobile proxy that gives you a mobile IP
If you're using a browser your IP will be residential

Easy solution: DD-WRT on a $50 router and setup OpenVPN. Then you connect to the wifi, it is always connected through the VPN. You can even give each different wifi client a different VPN connection, thus allowing any amount of phones/pcs to connect to an unique VPN. Doing so will force the mobile through the VPN connection never allowing any app to bypass it. It's also good if you want to create a phone farm and don't want to use the mobile's sim card connection because you're in a different country, f. ex. your phone is in Russa but your OpenVPN connects to a 4/5G proxy/vpn in France.

For you, VPN = Some VPN ISP that you pay which gives you a tool to download which connects you to their servers.

For me, VPN = I install on my own Linux VPS and route them to my own 4/5g proxy.

So which is better; mobile app or browser?
 
You should check out third party apps on the Google PlayStore if you don't know how to use a Proxy on android device. Additionally, you can watch YouTube videos on the topic so you can better understand how to setup Proxies in Android Devices.
