Hi everyone. Been lurking here for a couple months and have gained a ton of knowledge, so thanks to everyone.

My question is, why do different proxies result in different SERPS? I have a location based keyword and whenever I check my serps from my home ip address, the results are lower than when I check from a private proxy, even when that proxy is in the same state as I am. Why are they different and which one should I believe for people that are near me that are searching my keyword?

Google results are different for the different GEO locations.. so when you use proxies from different GEO locations (even near cities) you will get and different SERPs..

But why does my ip show different results than a proxy in the same geographical location, like less than an hour away?

i don't know the exact reason for that.. it could be your cookies, if you are logged in into an account or something else..different browsers..

maybe someone else has any more ideas..
