    Has anybody had any success with proxy firewall and bookmarking demon or even just using BMDs proxy feature? For me proxy firewall isn't even touching BMD, and if I used the built in Feature, BMD just sits there and initializes infinately.

    I have the exact same problem. I need to find a way to use BMD with my private server proxies.

    On one hand BMd does not allow password protected proxies and on the other hand proxy firewall does not recognize BMd.

    What to do?

    Thanks

    This is a response from Edwin:
    Hi,

    Seems like proxyfirewall is unable to track BMD :(
    You might want to try chaining with Privoxy (you can download from www.privoxy.org)

    BMD -> Privoxy -> Proxyfirewall

    1) In BMD, make it choose proxy server and add
    127.0.0.1:8118

    2) Run Privoxy and BMD (test with account creation/bookmarking to create connection traffic)

    Proxyfirewall should be able to detect privoxy.

    Regards
    Edwin

    Yea, Privoxy was a pretty cool tip. I rocked BMD today too, have to wait to see if it pays off.

    I might be able to help you.

    I have proxies. Haven't tested them with bookmarking demon myself but I do have proxies I offer. :)

    Willing to give it a try with you.
