I want to start doing some torrent methods and I was wondering what steps you guys take for protecting yourselves when uploading torrents. or if you even bother to

I like to use peer guardian 2 to protect myself try that if you feel unsafe

I would suggest using a proxy or a vpn or a combination of both

Usually a VPN is enough. Proxies have proven to be slower when seeding.
