protecting my forum?

Not too sure which forum to post this in so if it should be moved then go ahead please..
The problem I'm having is that (even though I have now added email verification to the registration process), I still have to delete new thread posted by new users that have been posted every damn day.
They aren't even in English either...
Its becoming a real hassle.

How should I go about stopping these bots?

Depends on your forums-software. Usually there are PLENTY of mods you can install to prevent spam.

I would advise modify your forum software, for example modify new user registration. Changing 'email' form field to 'emailaddress' field will stop most of the bots plus you can track bots, that still trying to register using old 'email' field.

Cant advise anything else since your forum script is unknown.
