well ive got $200 in my adwords account and im thinking about trying some direct linking what are your thoughts

It is possible that Adwords will not approve your ads, I think this is very high percentage. I am not sure, but the option with your own landing page would work better.

i have just tried it with adcenter and it says this

The ad does not meet Microsoft adCenter editorial guidelines.

Not gonna work mate. Go with a faked iframed page. Iframe a page related to the offer and then once ads are running switch the iframe to your offer.

mm i have just been threw the entire pay per click formula webinar and ebooks and he talks about direct linking via adcenter all the time

Pay Per Cilck Formula was developed during a time when Google Adwords did not have such strict guidelines for affiliates trying to run PPC traffic. You are going to need to cloak, otherwise you will not get approved.
