Pros and Cons of *general* website SEO?

I want to set up a content website that covers many topics - basically whatever I feel like talking about. Would I go about setting up PBN's differently, what other ways to usual would I have to go about this site to optimise posts for SEO / ranking

You can keep your site "general" but every time you post on a related topic, you link your posts together and start building a silo. Keep the silos relevant and tightly themed and G will reward you with topical niche authority.

Multiniche sites don't really rank too well. Unless you have previous experience working on sites like this, I advise you to focus on single niche site.

If your website is multi-niche, I 'd consider narrowing its range of topics and making 3-4 different blogs, for example, to make it easier for users to find and understand the topic of the site. But first, if you keep collecting all the topics on one site, make sure you create some categories so that each niche has its own category.
